Funny way to "hurt bots"
This is a simple idea
In high bot level areas every 20 or so minutes there is an invasion of that areas main enemy such as mursaat or titans
The creatures would slow down and kill random people
these deaths dont count towards survivor and the only way to res is to change districts
this is what happened with the mursaat thing a while back...
just a funny idea i thought would be fun to see hundreds of dead monks on the ground

Bots would be quickly rewritten to change districts when this happens. But legit players would get pissed off at dying in town.

wouldn't do much, and would be annoying for legitimate farmers.

Ive thought about something like this, items that have existed on other MMORPGs.
Monster summoning items
These are usually used to summon powerful monsters.
In some games they are commonly used for griefing, such as summoning powerful monsters in newbie areas, or inside shops...hehehehe.
In some games its used to level up your character.
-----------
Having monster summoning items for use in town in GW would be really funny. Deaths wouldnt count to your death penalty, and youd stay dead until you mapped out.
AFKers and bots would have a hell of a time. lol.

Why not put up a squiggly written word and ask parties of one or less than party max to type in the password or be returned to outpost. This may piss off the 'legit' farmer but it would be really cool to not see tons of 'MoMe 20's not running around.
Also it may improve drops if the bots are combatted.

It should be made so the monster is one that does'nt move but attacks people close by like a torment claw that would kill the monk bots in one swipe (so no one spams it there should be allowed one per character per district) I know a certain signpost where I'd like to put one.

Anet should just monitor where the bots are and randomly kill someone targetting signposts in the area. if there is no signpost activity for a couple of hours, turn that one off and move it to the next bot heavy area.

And ofcourse you know everyone targeting a sign post is a bot right!
If there going to add that they may as well just add GM to the outposts.
The code on screen idea is also a bad one, bots have real life minders. Thats why killing while in town would just be a slight pain, but then again your talking about running a killing party thru outposts every 5secs to be of any effect against bots.

I think this says enough about why its a bad idea. As for making it a monster that can't move, imagine imagine with the monster blocking the exit in every single district (any less than that and the bots would switch district to a clear exit).

We are talking about professionally written bots here. Its a fine balancing act to make the image readable by humans but not by image recognition software.

Yes turning off signpost targeting would screw up the current bots. However the troll cave outside droks was bot farmed at one point (I have no idea if its still being farmed) and getting the bots there looks to be a similar difficulty to making the bots able to navigate towns without signposts to click on. So if the signposts became unreliable for the bots, they would be rewritten to not use them.

You want to hurt bots, and farmers, and whatnot?
Devalue the gold piece in GW. Make golds, greens, and other goodies drop like gangbusters, and ramp up cash drops insanely. Destroys RMT almost immediately, reminds people that wealth has nothing to do with whether you're an uber player or not. You want a status symbol? Go earn a Gladiator title, or somesuch.

Hah, I actually laughed a good twenty seconds for some strange reason...
Also, what's more important, preserving the legit players, or defeating bots?
Not as if they could be defeated anyways.

Simple answer is to fix the game so that people wont feel the need to buy gold.
